What qualities do you think a good attorney should have?

Communication skills are also important because we need to deal with our clients, other lawyers, judges, and sometimes jurors to get the job done.
How long have you been a lawyer?
Mark’s passion for the law began at an early age while working at the family law office next door to his childhood home. He fondly recalls sorting through case files, answering the phones, and watching jury trials while growing up, which ignited his lifelong fascination with the law. At age 12, Mark was hooked. He knew that he wanted to become a trial lawyer. He took classes year round at The Ohio State University in an effort to shave a year off his undergraduate degree. Mark did the same while at Capital University Law School and managed to finish in a record two-and-a-half years after successfully petitioning the school to change its three-year residency requirement. He received his Juris Doctor with high honors. A freshly licensed attorney at the ripe age of 23, Mark left his job at the Columbus Prosecutor’s Office, and hung his shingle. With nearly 20 years of dedicated legal experience in criminal defense, bankruptcy, and personal injury cases, Mark has litigated cases at nearly every level in Ohio. He has also handled appeals to the Tenth District and Sixth Circuit Courts of Appeals as well as several petitions for writs of certiorari to the Supreme Court of the United States.
What motivates you as a lawyer?
Nothing motivates Mark more than fighting for the “little guy” against big insurance companies, banks, large corporations, and powerful governmental entities. He also enjoys connecting with people on a personal level, embodying his passion for the law and a genuine commitment to helping others. His ultimate goal is to provide exceptional legal services that make a difference in the lives of those he represents.
